. I started lifting weights, being consistent in the gym, and cut my calories WAY back to drop excess fat. I did it, and made the team! But I was trying to live in a state that was not livable. I was constantly dieting, then not, then dieting harder, then not. My body was not responding how I wanted it to or how it had in the past. I didn’t know what to do. It lead to moments of over-restriction, then moments of binge eating to the point where I made myself physically sick. I knew it was terrible but didn’t know what else to do. Nothing was working. I felt helpless.
I stated my yoga practice and my mindset started to shift. I knew I needed a change. Katerina told me about her success with IIFYM (if it fits in your macros) and how it changed her life. I thought tracking was tedious and wasn’t sure if it would work, but decided to stick with it. Boy am I happy I did! Tracking macronutrients has allowed me to live that life where I can have the dinner out with friends, and make it fit, and not feel guilty. I loved it so much I became my office’s go-to for nutrition advice based off what I was continuously learning. I could talk to people for hours about it. So, I decided I needed to make what I loved part of my career. I became a Certified Nutrition Coach through Precision Nutrition.
I have been a Captain of the Atlanta Falcons Cheerleaders, been the Lead for numerous Yoga and Fitness Teacher Trainings, lead Bootcamps, coached hundreds of people in their fitness journey, and love seeing people become better versions of themselves.
